Wordle Bot Analysis

After each Wordle I solve I head over to the Wordle Bot homepage to see how my guessing game was.

This was one of those guessing games that felt both lucky and well-played but still didn’t get me the word until guess #4. As I’ve noted in the past, I think a real marker of skill is guessing in three. Anything before that is just lucky. Three is the magic number. Four is fine, but nothing special.

Flare was a decent guess but Wordle Bot’s slate would have gotten me the ‘T’ sooner. I got that with stead, which mostly juggled the yellow boxes I’d previously gained. Alter finally gave me one box in green, but I was still at just three letters. A whole lot of yellow and grey remained, though only 1 possible solution. It took me a minute to figure it out but then I did: taken for the win! Huzzah!

Do you know what’s funny? Liam Neeson—who I once regarded as one of the great modern-day actors after films like Schindler’s List—really solidified himself as an action star with the Taken franchise. And I’ve only watched like the first half hour of the first movie. I love action movies but just couldn’t get into this series. Go figure.

Today’s Competitive Wordle Score

I’m not at all happy about today’s score. I actually felt okay guessing this one in four because it was a tricky word, but then Wordle Bot went and guessed it in just three. That means I get 0 for guessing in four and -1 for losing to the Bot. Double that for 2XP Friday and I’m at -2. That’s no way to start a brand new month!
